The University places great importance on Public Relations and Media, in parallel to the essential role it plays through its different colleges, departments and work stations in fulfilling its high mission of spreading culture, science, and arts and preparing qualified national workforce to serve Kuwait in all fields and spread academic research that would serve the Kuwaiti society.

The Department of Public Relations and Media is under the supervision of the Office of Kuwait University's Chancellor. It specializes in supervision of all planning, organization and follow-up related to Kuwait University and aims at providing the proper environment that helps to enhance the university's contribution to the society, and at winning the understanding and endorsement of the different areas and fields in this society for its programs and projects. It accomplishes this aim by educating the Kuwaiti society about all University activities and informing people about the University's noble role and efforts in serving society as a whole and the public it deals with, including the teaching staff, researchers, students, employees and technicians inside and outside the Kuwait University campuses, all in the spirit of loyalty and allegiance to the university and a continuous effort to provide all the necessary ingredients for maintaining such spirit.
